Every time a class of recruits has finished their 6 months of training at the Orange County Sheriff's Department's Training Academy, a graduation ceremony is held.

During that ceremony it is tradition for a video to be played that shows a recap of the extreme, stress-based challenges the trainees endured and conquered leading to their completion of the rigorous course, finally resulting in the earning of their badge to become either a Sheriff's Deputy or Police Officer.

For Class 210 I started fresh and created a brand new video from scratch, focusing on the honor, dignity and pride that comes with earning one's badge, as well as putting an emphasis on the individuality of the recruits and what it means to work as a team.

The whole video I felt was too personal to post publicly but this introduction serves as a good representation of the piece and the tone I sought to achieve.

I shot most of this on my BMCC 2.5k using FilmConvert for post processing, and the titles were made from scratch in After Effects with Element 3D.
